About Berytech Fab Lab

Berytech Fab Lab is an open-access digital fabrication lab for students, professionals, artists, techies, entrepreneurs, and makers across Lebanon. The lab empowers them with the latest digital manufacturing technologies and a vast array of resources to create, fabricate, and transform their ideas into working prototypes and innovative products.

Resources include industry-grade technology, facilities with a wide range of machines and equipment, educational workshops, mentorship for prototyping, and digital fabrication.

Berytech Fab Lab offers makers a space to work on their projects and above all a community to share their projects and knowledge with. It gives people an environment where they can connect with other innovators, designers and makers, discuss their ideas, prototype them, and test their feasibility.

Berytech Fab Lab is part of Berytech – offering since 2002 an ecosystem for Lebanese innovative entrepreneurs to grow and develop their own startups and SMEs.

The Berytech Fab Lab is funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands and Berytech under the Agrytech program, which aims to cultivate Lebanese innovative startups turning Agri-food challenges into regional and global business opportunities.

Meet Wael Khalil

The Berytech Fab Lab Coordinator

Photo of Wael Khalil - The Berytech Fab Lab Coordinator Wael is a Mechanical Engineer with wide experience in Digital Design & Fabrication.
He has a diverse engineering background with valuable experience in the electromechanical industry, including pipe manufacturing and equipment installation for oil & gas and pump station projects.

As a mechanical engineer, he has a strong background in the basic principles of engineering, methods and practices in mechanical system design. In addition, he is proficient in using most advanced CAD designing tools and programming software available in the market.

Wael also has technical experience in operating and controlling a wide range of digital fabrication tools and equipment including but not limited to Laser Cutters, 3D printers, and CNC machines.
